Where is the Auction House in Dalaran?

While wandering around in Northrend or the Broken Isles, you’ll likely find your bags full of things you want to sell on the Auction House. After hearthing back to Dalaran, you look for an Auction House, but can’t find it. So where is the auction house in Dalaran?

In Legion Dalaran, there is no auction house unless your character has the Engineering profession. In Northrend Dalaran, everyone is able to use the Engineering Auction House in the Like Clockwork Engineering shop.

Where is the Auction House in Northrend Dalaran/Old Dalaran?

In Northrend Dalaran, you’ll need to visit the Like Clockwork Engineering shop, located at the coordinates 39.04, 27.16 to access the Auction House. Standing on the counter on the left-hand side of the shop, you’ll find Brassbolt Mechawrench, a Steam-Powered Auctioneer, who will allow you to use the Auction House.

Originally, Brassbolt Mechawrench was only available to players with the Engineering profession, however, this was changed to allow anyone to access the Auction House in Northrend Dalaran.

Where is the Auction House in Legion Dalaran/New Dalaran?

In Legion Dalaran, there isn’t an Auction House available for players unless they have the Engineering profession. Players will have to take the portals back to either Stormwind or Orgrimmar to access the Auction House.

Engineering Auction House in Legion Dalaran/New Dalaran

If your character is an Engineer, you do have access to an Auction House in Legion Dalaran. The Dalaran Engineering Auction House, the Brassbolt Mechawrench Steam-Powered Auctioneer, is located in the Like Clockwork Engineering Shop found at the coordinates 38.52, 27.49. The Brassbolt Mechawrench is standing on the floor to the right-hand side of the shop.

Players who aren’t engineers will still be unable to see the Brassbolt Mechawrench Auction House, so the spot that he is in will appear empty if your character doesn’t have the Engineering profession.

Mighty Caravan Brutosaur Auction House Mount (Long Boi) Next to Mailbox

Sometimes players who have the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur Auction House mount — affectionately known by the player base at the Long Boi — will park their mount next to one of the mailboxes in Dalaran. If someone has their Long Boi there, all players in the area are able to use the auctioneer riding on it to access the Auction House. Dalaran usually isn’t a super busy city, as it isn’t current content anymore, so it’s unlikely that you’ll find someone with one up. It’s worth a quick check though before taking a portal back to Orgrimmar or Stormwind, however.

Black Market Auction House in Legion Dalaran/New Dalaran

Legion Dalaran also has a Black Market Auction House within the Dalaran Underbelly, the sewer system underneath Dalaran. This Black Market Auction House is no longer functional, however, so you cannot access the Black Market Auction House from here.

(The Black Market Auction House is not the same as the regular Auction House. There are a couple of rare items up for sale per week, and these are sold by NPC to players in an auction format, where players bid against each other like they can on the actual Auction House. The highest bidder wins, and the max gold that can be bid is the gold cap of 9,999,999 gold.)
