Afterlives: Revendreth Video Released

The fourth and final installment in the Afterlives series of animated shorts was released today. This video features Revendreth and the Venthyr.

The narrative style of this one is definitely different than the others that have been released so far. In it, Sire Denathrius dictates a letter to the Venthyr concerning the Anima drought. He assures his people that though times are hard, they will make it through if everyone comes together. The audio is, of course, contrasted by scenes of souls being tortured for their anima, the poor citizens of Revendreth giving up their meager supply of Anima while the rich have lavish parties, and a citizen being executed for not turning over their Anima by being cast into the light.

We also get our first proper look at Garrosh Hellscream’s fate in Revendreth. The video shows him being tortured to extract his Anima and is referred to as one of their old, reliable workhorses. Presumably, he’s been used as an Anima source to fuel Sire Denathrius’ ambitions for years. Will we save him? We’ll find out in a few short weeks! (Check out our Shadowlands Countdown page!)
