Venthyr Covenant

“If you’re seeking a bit of grace wrapped in a bit of sin, then look no further than the aristocratic and elegant Venthyr Covenant. Every day among them brings punishment and reward—though telling the two apart can get a bit fuzzy. But beneath the polish and refinement, the seeds of rebellion against the master of the realm, Sire Denathrius, lie planted. . . .

If you’re a master of discretion and keen on intrigue, then the Venthyr Covenant is waiting for you to join them.”

Venthyr Covenant Overview

The Venthyr are the covenant tasked with helping souls find redemption in the Shadowlands. Their goal is to ensure that the wicked atone for their sins so they can eventually find their place in the Shadowlands. Once sinners atone, they can choose to stay and become a Venthyr, where they will torture the pride and wickedness out of other souls, or they can choose to serve another covenant that they feel they are better suited for.

Vampiric in nature, the Venythr extract blood-like anima from the souls in their charge while they torture them to help them on their path to redemption. This anima is used to fuel the Venthyr and keep their domain of Revendreth running.

Venthyr Covenant Abilities

Upon joining the Venthyr Covenant players will gain two abilities, a Signature Covenant Ability and a Class Covenant Ability. The Signature Ability is available to players of any class who are members of the covenant, and the Class Ability is based on which class you play. This means a Venthyr Warrior and a Venthyr Druid will each have the same Covenant Signature Ability and a different Class Ability.

One of the primary rewards for gaining renown are the new Venthyr Covenant armor sets that display your dedication to your Covenant. These appearances can only be earned and worn by members of the Venthyr Covenant. Along with the armor, you’ll also unlock exclusive back attachment appearances to go with your fancy new regalia to use instead of a cloak appearance.

Venthyr Covenant Mount

Venthyr Covenant Mount, Pet, and Back Attachments
Shown here are the Gravestone Battle Gargon (Venthyr Covenant Mount), Sinheart (Venthyr Covenant Pet), and the Venthyr Back Attachments, all of which you’ll be able to unlock as you progress in your Renown with the Venthyr.

There are two mounts that you can unlock as a Venthyr player: the Sinfall Gargon and the Gravestone Battle Gargon.

Venthyr Covenant Pet

The Venthyr Covenant Pet is Sinheart, a sentient little sinstone with little arms and legs made of branches with fall colored foliage.

Sinfall – The Venthyr Covenant Sanctum

The Venthyr Covenant’s Sanctum is Sinfall. This area is only accessible by Venthyr players and will serve as a base of operations for your work with your Covenant. This is likely where you’ll find yourself starting and ending your play sessions during Shadowlands.

The Ember Court

“The venthyr are a people who embrace the finer things. Their elegance and aristocratic air is most prominently on display in the Ember Court, where grand galas are hosted. Receiving an invitation—let alone being seen—is paramount to a venthyr’s reputation. Prince Renethal is seeking to establish a new order—with your help.

You’ll be tasked to invite guests, arrange for some refreshments, fend off party crashers, and in general play host or hostess with the most-est. You’ll get to live the full experience of the venthyr and witness more of their larger-than-afterlife personalities—while getting some loot for making the event a success.”

The Ember Court is the Venthyr’s unique structure. Here, you’ll throw lavish parties to gain the support of important guests. Play the part of the overworked party planner who is seemingly in charge of everything… invitations, refreshments, and even being the bouncer. Oh, and do try and enjoy yourself. It is a party after all.

Venthyr Anima Conductor

As you collect Anima to help the Venthyr restore their domain of Revendreth, you’ll be able to choose which areas to direct the Anima to using the Anima Conductor. There are 6 areas you can channel the Anima to, and each area will provide a different reward. Eventually, you’ll be able to permanently restore the area and always have access to the bonus that it provides.

  • Crypt of the Forgotten – Find a unique Covenant treasure.
  • Wanecrypt Hill – Fight an enemy champion.
  • Dominance Gate – Access a Covenant World Quest.
  • Pridefall Hamlet – Access a set of Covenant daily quests.
  • The Shrouded Asylum – Get access to powerful venthyr enhancements.
  • Dominance Keep – Fight an elite enemy champion.

Venthyr Travel System – Blood Mirrors

Each Covenant has an exclusive travel system available to them within their home zone, and the Venthyr travel around Revendreth in style using Blood Mirrors. Only Venthyr players are able to access the Blood Mirrors, letting them travel around their domain faster than players of other Covenants.

You’ll need to gradually unlock the Blood Mirrors as you progress in your Covenant campaign, so you won’t have access to them right away. Eventually however, you’ll be able to travel across Revendreth in the blink of an eye.

Venthyr Soulbinds

As you work to further the Venthyr’s goals, you’ll form a bond with powerful members of your Covenant.

Nadjia the Mistblade

Nadjia the Mistblade is the self-proclaimed greatest duelist to ever wield a blade, who rebels at stagnation and longs for the next new experience. Wherever there is trouble, you can expect to find Nadjia there at the heart of it. She is ready to turn her skills to the defense of Revendreth at your command, and her entertainment.”

General Draven

General Draven served Revendreth for eons as commander of the Stone Legion. He is on the front line of any battlefield, will fight with honor to the very end, and never leaves a soldier behind.”

Theotar the Mad Duke

Theotar the Mad Duke knows all too well that insanity is no excuse for bad manners! Exiled from traditional aristocratic circles, he formed his own court of outcasts to gossip with. Whether weaving powerful magic through his favorite teapot or animating dredgers to carry his umbrella for him, Theotar wields the incredible power of Revendreth in his own, eccentric way.”
